Crafts Stolen From Fair Over Bank Holiday Weekend

A craft fair in the grounds of Berkeley Castle was marred this bank holiday weekend by a robbery which has seen £3000 worth of crafts stolen. Three marquees were targeted, which contained over 100 stands belonging to artisans who had come to the town especially for the fair.

The stolen goods include jewellery and wooden figurines. Police are appealing for witnesses.

Jade Goody has had over £50,000 worth of jewellery stolen from her house in Essex. The thieves gained entry via an open window. Missing items include a Tiffany necklace.

£100,000 Of Jewellery Stolen From Pensioner

A pensioner had a huge amount of jewellery stolen when she was out on a shopping trip in Stratford, Warwickshire. The woman was shopping with her husband and left her handbag in his care when it is believed the robbery occurred. The main suspects are two Asian women who were seen chatting to the husband while his wife was elsewhere.

The jewellery collection included diamond rings, brooches and earrings, gold chains and bracelets, and a string of pearls. It had great sentimental (as well as monetary) value.

False Policewoman Steals Jewellery

A woman in Wales posing as a police officer has stolen a large amount of jewellery in yet another robbery. The woman gained entry to the house by saying she was with the police, then left with the jewellery. It was only discovered to be missing after she had gone. Police have released a description of the woman and are asking the public for help in tracing her.

The robbery of a jewellery shop in Houston, Texas, has been caught on camera by CCTV surveillance. The robbers are believed to have been South American gang members, and local press have posted the video on the internet in a bid to catch the criminals.

Jewellery Stolen From Old Bailey, Police Baffled

Jewellery worth up to £20, 000 has been stolen from an apartment in the Old Bailey, London’s top criminal court. The flat is the home of the Sherriff of London, and the Old Bailey itself teams with judges.

In what appears to be one of the safest places to live, visitors to the Old Bailey must be escorted at all times. Police are questioning staff in what can only look like an inside job.

The only inhabitant that has free run of the Old Bailey is a black cat called Big Ben. Interestingly, Ben was last seen talking to Macavity outside The Chandos, Trafalgar Square.

Jewellery Kept In Car Boot, Stolen

£100, 000 of jewellery has been stolen from the boot of a car in Uckfield, Sussex. The car was parked at the time, and the jewellery includes a collection of necklaces, rings and watches.

It looks like your car boot isn’t the safest place to keep a small fortune.
